“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.”
Goal: Become a globe trotter. Journey over the road less travelled. Taste the flavors of the world. And most of all, meet people from all cultures and backgrounds.
So I have a list. It’s of all the destinations I want to visit and adventures I want to go on. Some have been checked off with amazing memories attached, but there are many that have yet to be done.
I travel to meet new individuals young and old, to learn how they live, to gain a new perspective beyond my life in the Bay Area, and to open my mind to new ideas. And of course to take part in spontaneous, thrilling adventures. Some people asked me why I decided to drop everything and move across the country where I knew no one. Heck, why not? Life is about taking chances, going down new paths, and exploration. And I’ve always been curious. I want to learn more for I don’t know there is all to know and never will. And travel is one means of attaining that.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” –Mark Twain
If you’re nervous about going somewhere, all the more fun it will be.
And so the adventures begin…
